COPIC Markers and the glory of new ideas...

Tue Aug 18, 2009, 6:40 AM
So, I just purchased my first set of COPIC Markers after watching Adam Hughes do amazing things with them at the 2009 Heroes Convention.
I have since spent hours watching tutorials on how to use them on YouTube. My favorite (and most benefical thus-far) have been the ones posted by Amy Reeder-Hadley. Consequently, watching her draw and color led me to check out her work, and I have discovered my new favorite comic as a result - Madame Xanadu.
Anyways...COPIC Markers are amazing! I wish I had the ability to master them overnight, but practice will make better...if not perfect.

I am also very intrigued by the formats and mediums of some of my favorite deviations. I can't even begin to wrap my head around how people can make such stunning pieces in PhotoShop. I can't draw that way. I have to put an actual pencil to actual paper... Do some people scan their stuff in before finishing it in PhotoShop? Do I need to explore the realms of the more-advanced computer universe? What simple step am I overlooking? If anyone knows, I wish they'd fill me in...for I remain perplexed.
